our story
our philosophy
Gilroy Yoga envisions a nurturing community that promotes holistic well-being through the practice of yoga, mindfulness, and self-discovery. The studio aims to inspire individuals to connect deeply with themselves and others, fostering a supportive environment where physical, mental, and spiritual growth can thrive. By offering diverse classes, Gilroy Yoga seeks to empower practitioners of all levels to cultivate balance, flexibility, and peace in their lives.
We hope that you will join us to enjoy the various varieties of yoga in a calm, serene and friendly environment.

“Make the most of what you have and the most of what you don’t. Yoga should be practiced physically but also internally as much as possible. Hope we can together enhance the experience of our lives through the practice of yoga”
our founders
Gilroy Yoga is owned by a husband-wife team, Anuja Chaudhri and Ron Victor. It was Anuja’s passion to change lives through yoga that guided her into creating her second baby – Gilroy Yoga. They also own Almaden Yoga in San Jose.
Ron, a serial entrepreneur, helped her in building this dream. Anuja brings her laughter and warmth to the studio. The studio reflects the love they both have for yoga and Anuja’s friendly personality seeps into every member, teacher and class.
As owners, they take personal interest in every member, every instructor and every aspect of the studio. They are mostly at the studio welcoming everyone with a big smile and making sure each one feels at home.
If you visit the studio, make sure to introduce yourself to them as they enjoy making new friends and a joyful community.

our name
Many ask how we came up with this name. Originally, from India, we did think of an Indian/Sanskrit name for the studio. But in a world that revolves around internet searches we felt that since we are in Gilroy, Gilroy Yoga would make it more personal to the community.
Our logo was designed by a dear friend Suhita, who brought in the inverted “g”in the word “Yoga”. The “inverted g” typically refers to a specific pose or concept related to inversions, that symbolize a shift in perspective and encourage practitioners to explore new ways of viewing their practice and themselves.
our instructors
Our instructors love to teach, and care about each student.
